To reset your Apple ID password, follow these steps:
1.
Visit Apple’s Website or Open the App: Go to iforgot.apple.com or open
the "Settings" app on your Apple device.
2.
Enter Your Apple ID: Once on the site or app,
you'll be prompted to enter your Apple ID email address (the one linked to your
account). If you've forgotten your Apple ID, there is an option to recover it
as well.
3.
Verify Your Identity: After entering your
Apple ID, Apple will ask you to verify your identity. There are several ways to
do this:
o
Using a trusted device: If you have another Apple device logged in with
the same Apple ID, you might receive a notification there. Simply approve the
request and follow the prompts.
o
Email Verification: If you don’t have access to a trusted device,
Apple can send a verification code to your registered email address.
o
Security Questions: You may be asked to answer your security
questions if set up previously.
o
Two-Factor Authentication: If enabled, a code will be sent to a
trusted device or phone number.
4.
Create a New Password: Once your identity is
confirmed, you’ll be prompted to create a new password. Make sure it’s a strong
password (at least eight characters, including a number, uppercase letter, and
lowercase letter) and avoid using easily guessable information.
5.
Log In with New Password: Once your Apple Id password
is reset, you’ll need to log back in on all devices that use your Apple
ID.
