How to Reset Hotmail Password

1. Method

At some point, you may need to change your Hotmail password, especially if you suspect someone is using your account without your consent. You may also feel that your Hotmail password is weak.

To change your Hotmail Password:

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account. For more information, please follow our guide to connect to your Hotmail Mailbox

2. Click on your profile picture.

3. Select “View Account”.

4. Click on “Change Password”.

5. Type your current password, and click on Sign In.

6. Click Send Code, and enter code (receive via email or text).

7. Now enter your current password and then new password, and click Confirm.

8. To complete the process, click “Next”. Then you’ll receive an email which will confirm that you’ve changed your Hot mail password.

 

2. Method

1.Select URL https://account.live.com/resetpassword.aspx.

2. Select the ‘I forgot my password’ option.

3. Select ‘Reset your password’.

4.Enter Windows Live ID that requires a password reset.

5.Enter the characters shown and select ‘Next’.

6. The options you’re looking at here are the options available to reset password for your account.

Note if you have selected to retrieve the link through an SMS or alternative email, you need to wait for the link to be sent.

If you have chosen to answer SQ/SA, you will be able to reset password after confirmation of the reply.

7. If you are unable to reset password yourself you need to contact customer support.
